Parkland College invites your organization to consider the following training for up-skilling employees:

Cost: $450/person (includes Great Plains Turfgrass Textbook)
This two day introductory class will cover basic turfgrass management practices in use in the turfgrass industries of Saskatchewan. Topics covered include turfgrass types and cultivars, establishment techniques, basic soils and fertility management, irrigation, basic pest management and mowing techniques.
COURSE OUTLINE:
- Common Sask Turfgrass Species
- Cultivar selections for different applications
- Establishment techniques – Seeding
- Establishment techniques – Sodding
- Basic Soil Management
- Turfgrass Fertility
- Irrigating Turf
- Basic Pest management for Turf
- Mowing Turf
- Written Test (20 multiple choice questions: open book)
A technical manual accompanies the class and a certificate of achievement will
be awarded to students passing a written test at the conclusion of the class.

Saskatchewan's Turfgrass Association, founded in 1979, is a non-profit organization. The S.T.A. was organized by a group of Turfgrass Professionals which has grown to include people from Parks, Golf Courses, Sod Growers, Cities and Commercial Companies.
