S.T.A. Fall Wind-up & A.G.M. Highlights Print E-mail

By Don Campbell - The S.T.A.'s 2007 Fall Wind-up and Annual General Meeting was a huge success. David Doherty, the featured speaker, was well received and captivated his audience for five and a half hours. Thanks to all those who braved the weather to attend and to the Dakota Dunes Casino for a tremendous day.

Congratulations to the Drew Smith Member of the Year - Peter Semko, who received a Life Membership in the S.T.A. for his dedication and commitment to the game of golf in Saskatchewan.

S.T.A. 2007 Fall Wind-up & Annual General Meeting Print E-mail
The S.T.A. 2007 Fall Wind-up and Annual General Meeting will be held at the Dakota Dunes Casino’s “The Room” November 27th 2007. The Wind-up seminar will feature Dr. David Doherty whose topic will be “Physical Properties of Soils”. Contact us for more information. Registration is at 9:00am.

INSTRUCTOR:
David L. Doherty is the President and Founder of the “International Sports Turf Research Center, Inc.” (ISTRC). Mr. Doherty holds three patents on the ISTRC System which was developed to monitor the ageing process of golf greens both sand based and push ups. The majority of the top 100 courses in all categories use the ISTRC System to monitor the effectiveness of their agronomic programs from year to year or from season to season. ISTRC has monitored the effects of aerification and other cultural practices of over 1300 different golf courses and thousands of greens in less than 10 years.
