Deer Valley is nestled in the scenic Qu'Appelle Valley and is located 20 minutes northwest of Regina. It is set alongside the Deer Valley Residential Development which was built within 475 acres of natural valley and prairie terrain, offering quiet country living with all of the amenities of contemporary community life.

The golf course opened in 2001 and has matured beautifully.  It is recognized as one of the finest golf courses in Saskatchewan. With 4 sets of tees available, players of all skill levels can enjoy golf on a course that is consistently maintained in championship condition.

We are a semi-private golf course and are open daily for public play. Our clubhouse has a full service restaurant with spectacular views of the golf course and valley.

The superintendent supervises employees and is responsible for all elements of the playing area and the repair and maintenance of the irrigation system from start up to shut down. Specifically:

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience acting as Superintendent.
  • Valid Pesticide Applicator's license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Diploma or Certificate from a recognized turf management program.
  • Mechanical knowledge of turfgrass equipment.
  • Knowledge of irrigation systems use and maintenance.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


  • Work as part of the Deer Valley management team (which will include working collaboratively and cooperatively with Golf Operations and Food & Beverage).
  • Develop and organize daily work schedules for greens keeping staff.
  • Oversee training and supervision of staff.
  • Supervise and participate in the daily maintenance of the course grounds, equipment and other property.
  • Appropriate application of fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides.
  • Maintain detailed records.
  • Liaise with the Golf Club management and the club's volunteers.
  • Managing input and labour budget.
  • Overseeing special projects.

This is a full-time year round position.
