Golf Course Superintendent


This individual reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for maintaining this nine hole course landscape at the highest quality to ensure the healthy growth of greens, fairways, tees & trees to ensure an enjoyable golf experience for our patrons.

  • This individual must be a working superintendent with the ability to work in all weather conditions and capable of performing physical demanding work.
  • Ability to take direction from the Board of Directors
  • Diploma or certificate in turf management or the equivalent
  • Mechanical knowledge of turf grass equipment as well as golf carts
  • Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course maintenance work.
  • Highly motivated and hardworking individual with strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Recruits, supervises and retains maintenance staff
  • Knowledge of chemical and fertilizer application.
  • Valid Alberta Pesticide Applicator’s licence is also preferred
  • Irrigation programming and water management
  • Repair and maintenance of the golf course irrigation system.
  • Must be available to work, supervise and coordinate weekend duties
  • Must have working knowledge of turf types, disease ID, cultural procedures, and daily mowing needs in a turf care environment
  • Knowledge of bedding down the course in the fall

A competitive compensation package will be offered based on experience to the qualified applicant. The deadline for application is February 5, 2019 with a flexible start date of April 15, 2019
