Saskatchewan Bulletin #9 - April 2, 2020  - (This information was received after newsletter went to print)

Clarification on Golf Courses & Maintaining Physical Assets

As a result of the Province of Saskatchewan’s declaration of restrictions for critical public service or allowable business service  in  the  recent  Public Health Order on Wednesday, March 25 , the NGCOA Canada now has received written confirmation from the Government clarifying the list of allowable business services and how that relates at this time, directly to the operation of your golf course as well as the ability to perform work by your turf and maintenance team members.

At this time, golf courses do not qualify as a critical public service or allowable business service. The golf course must remain closed to the   public  as  they  are  classified  in  Saskatchewan  as  a  recreational   facility.  However,   Landscaping   is   allowed   and   golf   course  physical assets must be maintained, with two meters social distancing enforced .

The Government of Saskatchewan and other agencies have enacted a range of supports to  help  businesses  and  employers  during  the COVID-19 pandemic. Comprehensive information on the programs and resources available can be found on the Saskatchewan Business Response Team website .

Your Association continues to monitor this fluid situation and will continue to keep you apprised of the latest developments.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at should you have any questions.
