The second annual STA Summer Field Day was held on June 19th. Attendees met suppliers to find out what was new for 2013 and beyond.

Included in the program: Exhibitors, Demonstrations, Literature, Education.

Parkland College, in conjunction with Dennis McKernan of LifeWorks Design & Consulting Ltd., are pleased to offer the Turfgrass Management for Parks and the Turfgrass Management for Golf Certificate programs.

Each Certificate is comprised of four stand alone modules of two days each as follows:

  • Turfgrass Level 1 (Park/Golf)
  • Turfgrass Level 2 (Park/Golf)
  • Turfgrass Level 3 (Park/Golf)
  • Irrigation (Park/Golf)

The certificate programs or individual modules are ideally suited as professional development for those employed in the golf course or parks and recreation fields from labourers to operators to fore-mans to superintendents.

About the STA

  • Saskatchewan's Turfgrass Association, founded in 1979, is a non-profit organization. The S.T.A. was organized by a group of Turfgrass Professionals which has grown to include people from Parks, Golf Courses, Sod Growers, Cities and Commercial Companies.
