As usual, the weather continues to be a focal point of conversation.  With early warm temperatures, news form around the province was an earlier start this year, with conditions being very favourable throughout the province.  The past two weeks have seen well below normal temperatures and very windy.  Saskatoon and surrounding area experienced the driest April in history.

The STA is hosting a Summer Equipment Field Day on Tuesday, June 4 at The Legends in Warman.  There is a two-hour educational seminar, equipment exhibits, BBQ lunch, with a 9-hole shotgun to follow.  Entry forms are included with this newsletter.  PLEASE REGISTER IN ADVANCE.

We are just finalizing plans for the Annual Don Campbell Research Tournament on Thursday, August 22, 2019.  This year’s event will be hosted by Brian Oates at the Deer Valley Golf Club.  It promises to be a great event, so mark it in your calendars.

The weather appears to be changing for the better and I hope everyone has had a successful opening, and that irrigation systems are operating smoothly, as it looks like another dry year.  We will see you at the Summer Equipment Day, or the Research Tournament.

  • Thanks, Doug
