After a very cool April/early May, things are finally starting to kick in with some above 0 overnight temperatures.  Most courses did not open until the end of April and many opened in May.  At Riverside we opened on May 3 which in the 50 seasons I have worked there was only the 4th time we had a May opening with 1 of them being the 2020 COVID May 15 opening.

Overall course seemed to come out of winter in good condition and we should be expecting a great season if Mother Nature cooperates.

On Wednesday June 22 we are having an education seminar worth 1 CEC point at the Craik Golf Course, followed by lunch and 9 holes of golf.  It will be great to see everyone as things slowly return to normal.

The Don Campbell Research Tournament will be held on Tuesday August 23 at the Harbor Golf Club in Elbow.  This is always a great event so please register early to ensure you can get your team in.

There is a great article in the summer issue of GreenMaster magazine on Pierre Vezeau from Cooke Municipal Golf Course.  Pierre is the new President of the CGSA and has represented Saskatchewan extremely well on the Board of the CGSA.  We are very proud of him.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the upcoming events and wish you all success for the 2022 season.
