Exactly 6 months from opening, we finally had the first day where the weather stopped play.  With an early start this season and great weather into October, many courses have exceeded last year for rounds of which many set records for rounds played.

Most courses in Saskatoon area are closing on October 17 with most of the province being closed by October 24.  After one of the hottest, driest seasons on record I’m sure everyone is looking forward to putting their courses “to bed” for the winter.

In September I was fortunate to be able to attend the CGSA Fall Field Day in Canmore. It was a successful event with beautiful fall weather in the mountains and 106 attendees.  It was great to reconnect with peers in our industry, many who we haven’t seen for 2 years due to Covid.

It’s less than a month away from the Fall WindUp at the Saskatoon Golf & Country Club.  We are just finalizing the speaker program so everyone mark November 9 & 10 on their calendars.  To attend in person you must show proof of being fully vaccinated. We are also planning a Zoom option for anyone not able to make the trek to Saskatoon or have not been vaccinated.

I wish everyone a successful closure to their courses and that Mother Nature cooperates. Looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks.
