What a great Don Campbell Research Tournament it was.  With 108 participants, Mother Nature cooperating for us, our corporate sponsors and the great facility provided by Kyle and everyone at Jackfish—it was a very successful day.

The STA contributes Research funds raised at the tournament to the Alberta Turfgrass Research Foundation and the Canadian Turfgrass Research Foundation.  The results of these research projects are available for our members upon request and at the CTRF website: turfresearchcanada.ca

Finally in mid-August some cooler temperatures and much needed moisture arrived.  It’s been great to give the irrigation system a rest and to focus on other areas than watering.

With the cooler temperatures we are all starting fall preparation, with only 4-6 weeks left in the season depending on where you are.

As of now we are still planning an in-person Fall Windup on November 9 & 10 at the Saskatoon Golf & Country Club.  We will be monitoring Covid restrictions and there is a possibility of another virtual conference, but hopefully we will be able to get together.

I hope everyone has had a good season and looking forward to seeing everyone in November.
