September has been a beautiful month, weather-wise, with sunny above normal temps and as I write this on Sept 29 it is a sunny 28°. Although the leaves are changing colours, most remain on the trees providing excellent golf conditions.

Although it still seems like summer, winter preparation is underway with most aeration completed and preventative fungicide applications in progress. It’s a time of year that is difficult to get extra work done as courses are very busy with golfers trying to get in as many rounds with closure looming. Most courses in Saskatoon area are closing around October 16.

Start planning for the Fall Wind Up November 8/9 at Saskatoon Golf & Country Club. We have a great motivating, educational program with CEC points available and opportunities for networking.

Good luck to everyone in putting your courses to bed for the winter and I look forward to seeing you all in Saskatoon in November.
